The statement from GSOC is standard fodder written by gardai investigating gardai and just a sop to pretend there is a body which investigates police crime. Nobody expected them to find any wrongdoing or bungling of a botched murder investigation by gardai and a corrupt judge because if the evidence concealed for almost thirty years were to be revealed now it would only prove that judge Roe was a corrupt judge who perverted the courts and justice system and the gardai and DPP were equally complicit in allowing this debacle to happen and cover it all up. Meanwhile a well liked and respected priest was murdered and robbed and his family are grieving ever since only to have salt rubbed in their wounds by the Irish authorities.
