Roscommon Deputy Denis Naughten is renewing his appeal for anyone with any information in relation to the death of Fr Niall Molloy 30 years ago to go to the Gardaí.

The Independent TD had already scheduled a question in the Dail this week asking about progress on the McGinn report of the review of the Serious Crime Review Team into the death.

The McGinn report was actually published this week and while raising some issues relating to still unanswered questions, did not recommend any further action that could be taken.

Deputy Denis Naughten says it’s obviously disappointing news for the family and he believes fresh information, or any new witness would be the best chance of the case ever being re-opened again.
