This week a leading barrister and Fine Gael Councillor in Dublin City Council called for the abolition of the Special Criminal Court on the basis that trial without jury was in breach of the likes of the armed criminals and murderers who come before it. See: http://www.thejournal.ie/readme/should-we-keep-the-special-criminal-court-1046015-Aug2013/ It would be better if she and her colleague in both her profession and in Fine Gael, Mr Shatter allocated their time to this disgraceful miscarriage of justice instead.
