Mairia Cahill meets Justice Minister as pressure mounts on Sinn Fein over IRA abuse scandal

JUSTICE Minister Frances Fitzgerald tonight held a meeting with abuse victim Mairia Cahill as the government considers the need for a cross border inquiry into the IRA sex abuse scandal.

Sources told that the meeting, which took place in Leinster House, was organised at the request of Ms Cahill. The meeting between the minister and the Belfast woman was held as pressure mounted on Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams to come clean on his knowledge of sex abusers being moved from the North.
